For the past few years I have dedicated a good part of my life to web development. For a while I struggled with why God had given me such a passion for this, and how I would ever use it to follow God where he wants me to go. Every “traditional Christian” piece of me wants to think that God is the opposite of business, because business is money driven. Thank God I have realized that money can be used as a tool to reach a different goal, and not view money as the goal itself.
As my business partner, Nick, and I begin our business, I have realized that we are not starting a business so that it can absorb our lives, but so that we can gain a more full life because of it. We have never liked working a “9-5″ kind of job because to me it seems like a cage. Granted, there are a lot of great people who really enjoy their jobs, and that is good for them, but for me. I enjoy flexibility. I think that when you lead a more flexible schedule, you are able to flex for opportunities that God has placed in your lives.
My goal for our company is to help people develop their companies and ideas in a fresh, innovative way. We want to be just as passionate about our clients ideas as they are. The second part of my goal is to find and fuel need based non-profit organizations. By using our God-given resources to help those in need, we are able to make the world we live in a little better each day.
It has been a long journey of prayer and careful thought, but it has been confirmed to me time and time again that this is exactly where I am supposed to be. Knowing that God can be using me while I am doing something that I love to do is an amazing and freeing feeling. That is not to say that this is going to be an easy journey. If it was an easy path, I know I wouldn’t stretch and grow in my faith. I don’t want to take the easy route, and I know that God doesn’t want me to either.

I agree!
